  • I have just had a difficult outdoor painting job completed by Bignold Property Services.I am quite exacting and can say that I am very pleased with the job from start to finish. It was handled professionally from beginning to end. I would come home from work and there was no sign that anyone had been there except for the work that had been done. There were no drips or spills anywhere, the work was done very precisely. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done. I strongly recommend this organization to anyone with painting needs.

We love to paint stucco, its a porous surface which means paint adheres to it very well when it's prepared properly. Painting stucco will mean updating your look, and because paint will seal all those pores, water and mud staining will be significantly reduced. It is a beautiful and cost-effective alternative to re-stuccoing your home.

Preparation & Process

  • For parts of your stucco that are needing repair, which is especially prevalent on parging (the grey part below the coloured stucco), we will repair it.
  • Areas with heavy staining might need some extra work to remove or cover the stain so it doesn't come through the final finish. Don't worry, we'll let you know when this is required and include it in our quote automatically.
  • If necessary we will give your stucco a good power-wash. It will remove dust and debris from stucco that hasn't been painted in a long time, or in a dusty area.
  • We will dropsheet below our working areas to prevent chips and drips from spilling and to keep clean-up quick.
  • For most products and most situations we will spray your stucco. Before-hand we will mask windows and fixtures where necessary to avoid overspray. Vehicles and patio furniture will need to be moved to protect them.
  • Two coats of paint is required on stucco.

Recommended Products

  • We recommend as flat a sheen for the stucco paint as possible. We find a glossier paint gives a "cake-icing" finish, which disagrees with most people.
  • Standard paint is fine for stucco, but elastomeric or semi-elastomeric is great! It is a plasticized paint, which means it seals your stucco to a higher degree, lasts longer and prevents water damage in the future.

  • We guarantee our work on stucco for 3 years, for a list of conditions please see our guarantee page.
