I have just had a difficult outdoor painting job completed by Bignold Property Services.I am quite exacting and can say that I am very pleased with the job from start to finish. It was handled professionally from beginning to end. I would come home from work and there was no sign that anyone had been there except for the work that had been done. There were no drips or spills anywhere, the work was done very precisely. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done. I strongly recommend this organization to anyone with painting needs.Jennifer F. - Rating:
At Bignold Painting, we love to paint stucco. Stucco is a porous surface, which means paint adheres to it very well when it's prepared properly. Painting stucco will mean updating your look is easier, and because the paint will seal all those pores in this process, staining from mud or water over time will be significantly reduced. This type of process is a popular, beautiful and cost-effective alternative to re-stuccoing your entire home.
For parts of your stucco that are needing repair, which is especially prevalent on parging (the grey
part below the coloured stucco), our experienced stucco repair team in Calgary will repair it. With
years of experience under our belt, its safe to say we have the hands on capability and knowledge to be
able to properly repair all areas with stucco, safely and in a timely manner.
Areas with heavy staining, occasionally may require extra work to remove or cover the stain so it doesn't come through to the final finish. However, if there is heavy staining to an area, our Calgary stucco repair team will notify you prior to completing any stucco and siding repairs, letting you know when this is required - plus we’ll also include all costs associated with fixing this in our quote automatically.
If necessary, our team will give your stucco a good power-wash. This will remove dust and debris from stucco that hasn't been painted in a long time, or any dust build up that is prone to happening in a dusty area. In this scenario, we will dropsheet below our working areas to prevent chips and drips from spilling and to keep clean-up quick.
For most products and throughout most situations we will spray your stucco as a preferred method of application, as it provides the most even surface and is time effective. Beforehand, our Calgary stucco repair team will mask windows and fixtures where necessary to avoid any damage or overspray. During this process, all vehicles and patio furniture will need to be moved to properly protect them, and once we have sprayed our first coat, our stucco repair team will apply a second coat of stucco to ensure a long-lasting finish to your project.
We recommend as flat a sheen for the stucco paint as possible. We find a glossier paint gives a "cake-icing" finish, which disagrees with most people. Standard paint is fine for stucco, but elastomeric or semi-elastomeric is great! It is a plasticized paint, which means it seals your stucco to a higher degree, lasts longer and prevents water damage in the future.
We guarantee our work on stucco for 3 years, for a list of conditions please see our guarantee page.
